This update has been analysed by Hitpoint Cloud consultants to help users better understand the first update of the year and enhance their experience.
Below is a compendium of the major update feature points, categorised into 14 modules and four main categories: A, B, C and L.
Category A: Major functionality, platform technology updates; providing specialised new functionality, processes, and technical approaches that have the potential to significantly impact the implementation programme.
Category B: Critical functional detail updates, key configuration updates, additions that address specific known or anticipated issues.
Category C: Less important functionality updates, or just bug fixes, or infrequently used marginal updates.
Category L: Localisation-related updates for countries around the world.

I. Accounting Module
Level A Updates
Fixed Asset Management upgrade: system setup page redesigned, mid-term lease function added, external leases can be integrated and recorded in NetSuite framework.
Level C Updates
●Revenue Consolidation Adjustment: Retroactive consolidation of revenue elements with different effective start dates is no longer supported, all revenue elements must have the same effective start date, and retroactively consolidated revenue arrangements are irreversible and can only be reverted to change orders.
●Revenue Recognition Field Mapping Enhancement: A new standard transaction line field can be used as a target field to facilitate more flexible revenue recognition field mapping, but requires advanced revenue management features to be enabled.
● Benchmark 360 enhancements: Updated employee turnover calculation parameters to include terminated employees with ‘active’ or ‘inactive’ status, and the Benchmark 360 Dashboard has a new Redwood Experience theme for the Benchmark 360 Dashboard.
L-Level Updates
Brazil Localisation Enhancements: Localisation optimisations related to reports and functionality.
●Malaysia e-Invoicing Enhancements: Localisation improvements to support e-Invoicing functionality.
●Denmark Tax Returns added: Provides support for tax returns in Denmark.
● Singapore PEPPOL e-Invoice Enhancement: Support the e-Invoice function of PEPPOL standard.
II. Account Setup and Maintenance (Account Setup and Maintenance)
Level C Updates
●Prompt Studio update: Serves as a tool for managing generative AI prompts and text enhancements for Text Enhancement, SuiteScript Generative AI APIs, and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).
●AI Preferences update: Administrators can manage Text Enhancement, Prompt Studio, and SuiteScript settings on this page to see free usage, and the Text Enhancement Preferences page has been integrated.
Personal Information Access Log Workbook Enhancements: In Compliance 360 SuiteApp, more actions can be viewed, such as actions on customised records, message-related actions, emails sent from saved searches, and more.
III. Identity Verification (Authentication)
Level C Updates
●SuiteSignOn feature is offline: Starting from 2025.1, the outbound Single Sign-On (SuiteSignOn) feature is no longer supported in production accounts and needs to be replaced with NetSuite as the OIDC provider feature.
●OAuth 2.0 security upgrade: Starting from March 1, the RSA PKCSv1.5 scheme in the OAuth 2.0 client token signing algorithm is no longer supported, and it needs to be updated to the RSA-PSS scheme or to use EC keys.
IV.Banking and CSV Importing
Level C Updates
● Auto-create rule change: The system will create auto-create rule only when the ‘Auto-create rule according to the selected transaction’ box is checked, avoiding unnecessary transaction creation and matching.
●CSV import support for new record types: new import support for Item Fulfillment and Item Receipt is added, but it is necessary to pay attention to the limitations of function import, such as over-receipt and over-sending.
V. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Level C Updates
● Security enhancement of external case response page: access through time-limited links, adjustable link validity period, and automatic prompting to generate a new link after the expiration date.
●Support case performance indicator update: timestamp display is consistent with account time zone.
●Advanced Partner Centre role permissions update: Ensure users have access to the appropriate pages and tasks, and custom roles are updated simultaneously.
●Customer 360 optimisation: the page is updated to display detailed customer data by dimensions such as Overview, Opportunity Estimate, Orders and Returns, and Receivables.
VI. Employee Management (Employee Management)
L-level updates
●SuitePeople functionality expansion: U.S. payroll employees can download encrypted W-2 and W-2C forms, as well as worker management, Louisiana R-1300 withholding tax and other related functionality updates.
VII.Inventory Management
Level A Updates
Warehouse Management (WMS) upgrades: covering picking task breakdown, partial pick back, new replenishment methods, label printing, adjustment reason creation, receiving items in different units, order receiving ‘Receive All’ option, preferred location application, CSV import location transfer, filtering of orders by date, unit conversion table display, picking task failure report, and many other enhancements. Level C Updates
Supply Plan Optimisation: Supports Global Refresh and Range Refresh, new supplier filter, and the ability to save search queries for product data.
Quality Management Enhancements: Includes statistical sampling, receipt and return authorisation enhancements, process and visibility optimisation.
SCM mobile enhancements: support for Redwood experience preferences, print to file without third-party integration, Transfer Tables multi-line selection, date selection from calendars, and new mobile configuration features.
VIII.Manufacturing
Level A Updates
Manufacturing Route Optimisation: Ability to add delays between operations tasks, select connection types such as Start-To-Start, Start-To-Start with lag, Finish-To-Start (default), Finish-To-Start with lag, and flexibility to add, edit, and delete operations on the Operations sub-tab of a work order. and delete operations on the Operations sub-tab of the work order.
Level C Updates
Manufacturing mobile enhancements: Bin selection can be refined when issuing work order components, operation log function is added, GS1 product label printing is supported, label printing function is upgraded, and a new pause reason field is added on the restart page.
IX.Order Management
Level C Updates
●Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) analysis and dashboard: facilitates more accurate business insights.
●Invoicing and allocation front-end: Enables invoicing and billing of hardware items and projects, as well as creation of expenses and revenues prior to subscription activation.
●Usage management by pool: pricing services on an annual basis and billing customers on a monthly basis, with flexibility to handle usage and service overages.
●Uplift Accuracy Enhancement: Post-decimal accuracy extended to eight digits, ensuring more accurate values and pricing.
Ship Central Enhancements: Covers reuse of boxes using shipped fulfilment, multi-select and ‘Pack All’ options, weigh scale and pallet gross weight support, multiple package label and document printing, new carrier settings, shipping and label printing directly on item fulfilment, CSV import for other billing accounts, shipping items, CSV import, applying discounts, and other billing account enhancements. CSV import, applying discounts, markups and fixed rates, checking rates in order transactions, changing shipping addresses in the application, domestic shipments to military PO boxes and U.S. territories, estimated tariffs for international shipments, adding shipment descriptions, ParcelGuard insured shipments, new shipping label sizes, and many other enhancements.
X.Data Analysis and Development
Level A Updates
●New version of JDBC driver is online: improve data connection performance.
●SuiteCloud SDK security upgrade: Generate password-protected credential files using PKCS#12.
Level C Updates
●SuiteAnalytics functionality expanded: NetSuite.com data source support ended, option to send reports to group members added, HTML formulas added to search function.
●SuiteBuilder Feature Optimisation: Updated BFO library for advanced PDF/HTML templates.
●SuiteCloud Development Framework feature extensions: New SDF custom objects for prompt and textenhanceaction, changes to audience fields in script deployments and single page applications.
●SuiteScript Feature Optimisation: Ext JS library removed in version 2025.1, script permission control optimised, Single Page Application (SPA) feature request flow removed, new methods added to the N/llm module, a new SuiteScript tab added to the AI preset page, and additional changes to hidden files.
● SuiteTalk Web Services Integration feature optimisation: 2025.1 Terminal behaviour change for complex type elements, SOAP Web Services version update with Araxis Merge Diff files, SOAP Schema Browser.
XI. Tax (Tax)
C-level updates
●SuiteTax functionality optimisations: Invoice Time Entry and Expense Report Detail preferences updated to enable related functionality at the same time; upgrades to the EU tax registration number validation system; auto-configured Tax Codes and Tax Types now have descriptive names; US Sales Tax Reporting SuiteApp available for single instance customers; Brazilian Reporting Enhancements; Spain Localisation Enhancements; Latin America Engine Enhancements with Brazilian Records Enhancement ; International Tax Reporting Enhancements; Withholding Tax Enhancements.
Legacy Tax functionality optimisation: international tax reporting and withholding tax functionality have been enhanced accordingly.
XII.User Interface
Level C Updates
●Text enhancement update: Closely linked to Generative AI Availability for a smarter text processing experience.
Redwood experience theme upgrade: More settings are added, such as displaying different theme colours in different environments, to meet individual needs.
●New product recommendation messages: Recommendation messages for different NetSuite features will be placed at the top of the page, so that you can get important information in time.
●SuiteAnswers Intelligence: With AI, the search is more accurate, and you can get AI replies when you ask questions, which improves the efficiency of problem solving.
XIII. Purchasing and Receiving (Vendors, Purchasing, and Receiving)
C-level updates
Bill Capture Optimisation: The practical scanning function has been upgraded to make the operation more convenient.
● Vendor Payment Tool: Vendor bank details can be created and updated in Vendor Profile to enhance the efficiency of the procurement payment process.
XIV.Commerce and SuiteApps
L-level updates
●Commerce website settings expansion: you can send links to customers to make invoice payments directly, set up preferred domain names, and enable customers to conveniently use stored payment methods after logging in.
●SuiteCommerce solution optimisation: relevant functions are continuously updated to facilitate business operations.
●SuiteApps Functionality Expansion: SuiteApps covering accounting, management, inventory management, localisation, manufacturing, order management, SuitePeople, tax, and many other aspects continue to empower business.
